Just a girl.

Here's one from the vaults....no one thinks like this anymore do they? I mean it is 2009.

Anyway, a tribute to women. And no, I'm not mad at anyone today. I just like re-runs.

Because I am a girl...

I must be second-guessed.

Because I share my emotions, it means I'll never understand.

But, I waste my time alleviating your worry when you are afraid to look bad.

Because I am a girl...

I can easily be blamed.

I am an easy target that can carry a heavy load.

A girl, who goes on instinct, must be one who does not know.

Because I am a girl...

I am always second-best.

No reason to think any different.

Just go by what you think you know.

A girl is underestimated because she is just a girl.

Her opinion does not matter because she cannot really understand.

Before she speaks a word, you've already made up your mind.

By seeing that she is a woman you don't have to look any further.

Because you know she is not a man.

A girl is quite capable of nurturing an uneasy soul.

She is not afraid to laugh or cry.

The emotions that she carries are the same as the ones you hide.

So move fast now and stop her. Don't let her get any further.

Keep her busy with menial tasks that you haven't any time for.

Make her think she knows no better and keep her self-esteem low.

Keep her running in circles, just don't let her go.

If she starts believing in herself then there will be trouble.

Because she may grow into the woman that you are afraid already exists.

One who is capable of doing whatever she sets out to achieve.

One who doesn't need your approval because she already knows who she is.

A woman who can bring a smile from a face that carries the worst of all frowns.

A woman that can do the job, you name it and she probably already has.

Maybe you didn't notice. Maybe you didn't want to see.

She's been doing it all along. But, that's just between you and me.
